Types of Reactors
Glass Lined Reactors
Steel vessels with a glass (enamel) lining for superior corrosion resistance against acids, solvents, and aggressive chemicals. The industry standard for pharmaceutical and fine chemical production. Available from Pfaudler, De Dietrich, and other manufacturers.
Stainless Steel Reactors
304 and 316 stainless steel construction for applications compatible with SS materials. Lower cost than glass lined and easier to repair. Popular for food, beverage, and less corrosive chemical processes.
Jacketed Reactors
Reactors with external jackets for heating and cooling during chemical reactions. Available with half-pipe coils, dimple jackets, and conventional jackets. Essential for temperature-controlled reactions and exothermic processes.
